Peking, May 27, 1909. IN continuation of my despatch No. 171 of the 12th instant, I have the honour to report that, according to a telegram from the acting consul-general at Canton, the agreement between the Chinese authorities and Messrs. Paulings for the survey of the proposed railway from Kueilin to Chuanchon was signed on the 19th instant.
