To-day I again saw Llang and made a further ap-
peal on behalf of the British and Chinese Corporation.
This has resulted in Chang consenting to instruct the
delegates to exchange letters of assurance with Hillier,
the wording to be arranged at the meeting this evening
between the delegates and Hillier.
The agreement will be signed immediately on the
exchange of letters.
