Peking, April 1, 1909. of further correspondence relating to the affairs of the Tien-tsin-Pukow Railway."
In view of Mr. Tuckey's strong expression of opinion on the subject, I thought it necessary to suggest to Mr. Bland that the auditor provided for by Article 14 of the Loan Agreement should be stationed permanently at Nanking instead of Tien-tsin, as previously arranged.
I should add that his Excellency Sun Pao-chi left here about a week ago for Nanking in pursuance of the arrangement reported in my despatch No. 114.
I bave, &c. (Signed) J. N. JORDAN.
