Tokió, March 8, 1909. I HAVE the honour to inform you that the Acting British Vice-Consul at Dairen has reported that the connecting station between the Chinese Eastern and the South Manchurian Railways was changed on the 23rd ultimo from Kwangchengtsu to Chang- chun, which henceforth is to be used for the transfer station for passengers. The temporary station at Hsi-Kwangchengtsu is to be closed. Goods destined for Kwang- chengtsu from stations on the South Manchurian line will be sent forward from Chang- chun station by locomotives of the South Manchurian Railway, while goods from the Harbin direction will enter Changchun station by the Chinese Eastern Railway's trains. The control of traffic at Changchun is vested in the Changchun station-master.
