Your telegram No. 67 of the 3rd. instant.
Written protest has been made in the sense of your
.instructions.
In a separate note I have also reminded Wai-wu-Pu
of correspondence regarding Hupel section of Hankow-
Ichang line, mentioned in final paragraph of your tele-
gram No. 60 of the 31st. ultimo. I said His Majesty's
Government expected that engagements therein recorded
would be loyally observed.
