With reference to the attached letter from
the Commandant Hong Kong Volunteer Corps, handed to me personally by Sergeant A. J. Darby, of No. 3,
Artillery Company of the above mentioned Corps, I have the honour to report that I have no objection to this N. C. 0. being attached to the Brigade under my Command.
Sergeant Darby besides performing drills here is also desirous of attending Annual Training with this Brigade, and as this involves certain ex- penses, it is requested that authority may be ob-
tained to cover the cost of travelling to and from
Fleetwood, and also for Pay and Messing Allowance whilst at Camp.
This case being without precedent in my
Brigade, I shall be glad if full instructions can be
given.
