of your letter of the 11th. of August No. 25870/1909 trans-

mitting a copy of a despatch and its enclosures from the

Governor of Hong Kong having reference to the British

Section of the Kowloon-Canton Railway.

2. We communicated the papers to the Consulting

Engineers and I transmit for the information of the Secretary

of State a copy of their observations thereon. Their letter

of the 18th. of October was transmitted to you with our
