CROWN AGENTS.

Bromley, E.
Aug. 20th., 1909.
In reply to your letter Police 110, Aug. 13th., 1999,
I am very sorry that you cannot supply me with a passage back
to Hong Kong as it is upon medical advice that I do not care
to undergo the treatment suggested to me by Sir Patrick Manson
and seeing that if I had not returned to England to see my
Father who was ill, since dead, I should have been doing duty
with it now. I cannot go to the expense of paying my own
passage cut and I should feel obliged if you cannot send me
back to make some allowance for my 6 years' services.
I am etc.,
