Gentlemen,
1. I confirm my cable of 12th November 1908
as follows:-

It has been finally decided to build the timber work of all carriage stock locally so it will be unneces- sary for you to design superstructure. All that will
be required for you to send out under the Indent will be therefore the underframes, bogies, brake, drawbar and buffing gear. Please therefore adhere to the main dimen- sion sixty one feet over head stocks as I am designing the stock out here for that dimension.
3. With reference to paragraph 28 of my General Letter No.69 I have been looking carefully into the ques- tion of staggering the outside sills under the end plat- forms so as to allow room for the steps and I think the American practice is quite good enough namely to stop the outside sill at the end portion of the carriage and to
