humbly submits that it would consequently be unjust to deprive
him of a pension merely by reason of the fact that it is
considered that, many years ago, he committed a breach of the
Colonial Regulations, although such breach did not affect the
proper performance of your petitioner's duties.
Your petitioner therefore humbly prays
that your Lordship ray be pleased to
direct that your petitioner be
reinstated in the post of First Bailiff
of the Supreme Court of Hongkong.
or, in the alternative, that your
petitioner may be permitted to retire
from the service of the Goverment and
may be granted a pension upon such
retirement,
And your petitioner will ever pray &c.
