the 9th. instant on the subject of the War Department Spring

Gardens Property, I am directed to state that at the time that

the original lease of Inland Lot No. 427 was granted, it was

the custom to sell Crown Land subject to Crown Rent only and

without premim.

Beyond that fact this Government is un
