Report on Ordinance No. 28 of 1909
1909
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled
An Ordinance to amend the Malicious Damage Ordinance, 1865,
and I am of opinim that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to
the Governor's Instructons
350
Part I provides penalties in respect of malicious damage to
Railways" and Tramways.
The Principal Ordinance was based on the Imperial Act, 24 and 26
Vict., cap. 97; (the Malicious Injuries to Property Act, 1861) but
omitted these two sections, persumably because there were no railways
in Hongkong in' 1865.
