Sub-enclosure to Enclosure.1.

REC

Hon. Colonial Secretary,

Rent 27 OCT 09

In the Crown Agents' Accounts for January

and February last these items appear:-

1.

Voucher 185, January, Colonial Nursing Associat-

-ion in respect of the selection of Nurses for

employment in the Colony,.....£6. 6. 0.

2.

Voucher 82, February, Medical Examinations under-

-taken during 1908,

.£6. 6. 0.

These evidently refer to the selection and

examination of three Nursing Sisters.

This is the first time there fees appear

formerly there was only one fee viz.:- that of a guinea for

medical examination which was paid by the persons themselves.

I suppose authority has been given for

this, although we had not been informed.

(sd.) J. M. Atkinson,

P.C.M.O.

16th. April, 1909.
