selected for service in the Colony. The former fee is as

-ion for their services in the selection of candidates, and

to the payment of this fee no objection has been raised on

the part of this Government. The Crown Agents for the

Colonies have, however, since 1908 charged an additional

fee of two guineas for medical examination, and it is to

the payment of this fee that exception was taken in the

Colonial Secretary's letter No. 3655/09 of the 4th. of

1941
