Enclosed please find Compradore's report of the interview he and his assistants had at his room on Saturday last, the 24th instant, with the delegates of the Self-Government Society of Canton, concerning the "Fatshan" case. The report is a faithful interpretation of the conversation which took place and was conducted in Chinese at the interview in the Compradore's room.
