Hon. Colonial Secretary,

LECS Rec 2 6 SEP
Attached application submitted. A great deal of Land Bailiffs work has during the last two years been done by Mr. Tratman but the time has now come when a Bailiff should devote his whole time to the Southern District. I therefore recommend that a Bailiff be appointed at the same salary as the 2nd Bailiff for the Northern District viz.: £180 - £225 and travelling allowance of $30 a month. I also further recommend that two demarcators be appointed at $180 per annum and that the allowance to the Officer in charge of No. 1 Police Launch be increased to $10 per month on account of the additional work.

(sd.) G. H. Wakeman,
Land Officer.
