Your petitioners humbly submit that under
your instruction they have established a Dispensary at Hunghom,
which has been of great benefit to one section of the inhabit-
-ants. But it is not central enough to help everyone.
Your Petitioners have often noticed that
people of both sexes, young and old, suffering from illness find
it difficult to walk so far as the Dispensary for treatment.
Your Petitioners after discussion find that
the only suitable site is an unoccupied piece of ground to the
left of the Kun Yan Temple, Hunghom. This site is in the
centre of the district and will be easiest of access.
Your petitioners pray that Your Honour
will be pleased to grant them a Crown Land lease for establish-
-ing a dispensary on the Crown Land above mentioned measusing
64 feet in depth and 26 feet in width of which the Crown Rent
shall be paid annually. If this proposal meet with your approval
the people there including the gentry, elders, merchants, and
labourers will be ever grateful.
Your Petitioners have the
honour etc.,
