Under the Second heading (2) POST AND)
11.
BRACKETS it is stipulated that centre posts should not be used
without the consent of the Board of Trade.
As you are aware I have already represented
to you the inconvenience caused by the obstruction of posts at
curves, and having obtained your permission, have removed from
such positions all centre poles that could possibly be done
without. I am of opinion that a great public benefit has
accrued.

a rail section weighing not less than 90 lbs. to the yard is
recommended. The existing rail weighs 83 lbs. to the yard and
in view of the substantial track construction of solid concrete,
and as the cars are single deck only, I consider this section

(4). CARS. In the third paragraph it is
stated that of existing types of life guard the "trigger"
pattern is preferred.
The type of life guard in use on the cars of
this Company is the "stationary net".
There are several important tramway systems
in Great Britain on which the trigger type of life guard has not
been adopted.
