I am directed by the Government to enquire whether your Company is at present working under the Board of Trade Regulations with regard to matters affecting the safety of the public or for securing a proper and efficient supply of electricity such as those now cited in the following issues by the Board which may be seen on application at this office if desired:-
(1). Regulations for securing the safety of the public and for ensuring a proper and sufficient supply of electrical energy.
(ii). Regulations as to supply at Extra High Pressure.
(iii). Regulations prescribed by the Board under Section 4 of the Electric Lighting Act 1888 with respect to works established without statutory authority.
(iv). Regulations for Overhead lines prescribed by the Board under No. A 13 s of the Regulations for securing the safety of the public, and
(v). Model description of Overhead Line Construction for supply at high pressure.
Further the Government require to know whether, in the event of such regulations not being worked to, your Company has any good reasons to adduce against their bringing in an Ordinance to oblige your Company, along with others employing electrical energy, to operate under these regulations and such others as may from time to time be issued by the Board of Trade and adapted to suit local conditions.
