Sir,

With reference to your letter (P.W.268) of the 15th of February last and previous correspondence, I am directed by the Earl of Crewe to transmit to you to be laid before the Secretary for Indian Affairs a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hongkong forwarding correspondence with reference to the proposed working Agreement for the Canton-Kowloon Railway.

2. I am at the same time to say, with reference especially to paragraph 9 (2) of Sir F.Lugard's Memorandum of the 15th of April, that Mr Eves, the Chief Resident...
