In regard to other Departments (such as the Registrar-General's Office, Sanitary Department, Harbour Office and Police Office) I find on enquiry that the Audit is generally speaking carried out by the Local Auditor or his Assistant, and I have no criticism to offer, but these Departments (I am informed) together furnish only some 10 per centum of the Auditor's work.
