An Ordinance to amend the Widows and Orphans'
Pension Ordinance, 1908.
Be it enacted etc.
and
1. This Ordinance may be cited as The Widows
Orphans' Pension (Amendment) Ordinance 1909 and
shall be read as one with the Widows' and Orphans'
Ordinance 1908 hereinafter called the Principal
Ordinance.
2. Section 19 of the Principal Ordinance is
hereby repealed and the following section is
substituted in place thereof:-

When orphans having no living mother or
step-mother entitled to a pension and
their ages entitle them to pension such
pension shall be equally divided among
such orphans, and if anyone of such

orphans ceases to be eligible for pension
the portion of the pension drawn by him
shall be equally divided among those
remaining entitled.
