Mr Eves has applied to resign, to take effect from the date of arrival of Lindsey, who was nominated to succeed him by the Govt of India subsequent to my dispatch of 15th April to Govt of India.
Lugard has concurred.
I have telegraphed to the Govt of India that I approve of Lindsey.
