Tsang Ku, P.C. No. 159, states:-
I have been stationed at the Central Station this term for about 4 months. I went on duty at 10 p.m. on the 17th instant on No. 4 Section, No. 12 and 13 beats. At about 1:30 a.m. on the 18th, I was in Pottinger Street, working my beats by the right, when Jemadar Gulab met me at the entrance to Lok Hing Lane. He was in uniform, and asked me if all was right, in the usual way. He then asked me what beat I had been on, when on duty from 6 to 10 a.m. on the 16th instant. I told him No. 23 beat. He said he had not been able to find me on my beat. I told him I did not know why that should be so, as I had been on my beat. He said he would report me for this. I said he must do as he pleased. He then went down Pottinger Street, and I continued on my way up.
At 6 a.m. on the 18th instant, I went on duty on No. 23 beat. At about 6:15 a.m., I was on Kennedy Road, working my beat by the right, and had got to the entrance to the Union Church, when I saw Jemadar Gulab following me, at a distance of about 20 yards. He was in uniform. He came up to me. I saluted him, and answered him "alright". I walked along, and he walked in the same direction, a little in the rear, on my right. After walking a few paces, he asked me how it was that he had not been able to find me on my beat on the morning of the 17th instant, when I had been on No. 23 beat also. I said I had been on my beat. He said I must be telling lies, it could not be so. I said two Indian Constables had seen me on my beat as they were going off duty.
He walked with me to the turn up to Macdonnell Road. There he stopped and asked me: What is it to be? Do you want me to report you? I said I would leave that to him. He then said: I wish you to do something for me. I asked him what it was. He said to have to do with him as if I were a woman. I told him I had never done such a thing before, and he should not do it, and that he had a wife. He said I was not to talk about his having a wife, but to talk about what he had been asking me to do with him. He then continued
