The statements of the said Police Sergeants Murison and Terrett were true as to the fact that they did see your Petitioner in the said Tung Wo Lane, but their statements as to the condition of your Petitioner's dress were incorrect. It is possible that your Petitioner's trousers were unbuttoned but he absolutely denies that they were so unbuttoned with the intent alleged.
8. One A.T.A.Mahomed, who is a resident of No. 6 Tung Wo Lane, has stated, and is prepared to state on oath, that upon the night in question he saw your Petitioner and a Chinese constable walking in the said Tung Wo Lane, saw them stop opposite his house, immediately afterwards saw two Europeans (whom he now knows to be the said Sergeants Murison and Terrett) go up and speak to your Petitioner and the said Chinese constable and then walk away accompanied by your Petitioner and the said Chinese Constable.
9. Your Petitioner can produce further evidence by Indian Constables and others which would throw doubt upon the statement given by the said Tsang Ku.

The said Tung Wo Lane is a well-lighted street in close proximity to the Central Police Station and is frequently traversed at all times during the night by some members of the Hongkong Police Force, or the Public, and is one of the last places in the Colony likely to be chosen for the perpetration of such an act as that which your Petitioner was accused of having attempted to perpetrate.
