This is to certify that Cheung Suk, (whose photograph is hereunto annexed) is a British Subject, and was born on the 25th. day of December, 1869, in this Colony of Chinese parents subjects of the Emperor of China.

Note: This Certificate does not confer upon the said Cheung Suk while within the Empire of China any claim or right to British protection, nor does it free the said Cheung Suk while in any other Foreign Country from compliance with the provisions of the Treaties between Great Britain and such other
