on his. What I did say was that "I could not believe that Mr. Seth had made a statement to me which he did not believe to be true", and I left the Secretary of State, to whom Your Honour had desired the matter should be referred, to judge of the conflicting statements.
I desire with all courtesy to Your Honour to inform you that I am unable to prolong this correspondence on a matter which has been at your request re-submitted to the Secretary of State. I have nothing further to add to my previous letters, and should Your Honour desire to write any further on the subject, I would request you to be so good as to address the Secretary of State in accordance with Colonial Regulation 212 and I shall as therein directed duly transmit your communication for his consideration.
