REG 17 APR OC 391
ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE
Hongkong,
17th March,
1909
Report on Ordinance No 2 of 1909
I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled
An Ordinance to authorise for public purposes the Reclamation of certain portions of the Crown foreshore and sea bed situate in Hunghom Bay in the Colony of Hongkong and to validate such reclamation as has heretofore taken place
and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions
Hunghom Bay having been in part reclaimed for the purpose of the Government Railway it is deemed desirable to validate and legalise the same and to authorise further reclamation.
The objects of this Ordinance are fully set out in the preamble.
Henry Ballendine
Attorney General.
