With reference to your Despatch No. 270 of November 9th, I have the honour to transmit, at the request of the Chief Justice, further letters which he has addressed to me for transmission to Your Lordship together with my replies. I demurred, as Your Lordship will note, to again troubling you with a matter upon which you had recorded your decision, but in paragraph 3 of his letter of 13th February, 1909, the Chief Justice insists that the correspondence should be referred to you.
