I have attached the tracings which I submit-
ted at the meeting held at Government House yesterday, at which Mr. A. J. Barry was present. They were prepared to show the comparative total values of the areas occupied by the Station if erected on the various sites which have been proposed.
The value of any part of Blackhead's lots or the adjacent reclamation northwards absorbed under the various schemes has been taken at $4.25 per square foot. The price actually paid for Blackhead's lots (exclusive of value of pier) was $4.454, but that included something for value of buildings, hence the rate of $4.25 which I have taken.
I have taken the value of the Inland Lots to be resumed and of the Crown Land similarly situated at $3 per square foot.
The areas remaining for disposal, after providing for the Station requirements, have been valued at $3 per square foot.
The result is as follows:-
