Sir,

In reply to your letter regarding Inland Lots Nos. 101 and 427, I have the honour to inform you that His Excellency the Governor has ordered a special warrant to be passed for the refund of the two sums mentioned by you, amounting to £109 4s - viz., £34 4s paid as ground rent on No. 101 and £75 on same account on No. 427.

The warrant it is presumed will be made payable to Deputy Assistant Commanding General Foster, Military Accountant.

These lots will in future be exempt from ground rent while the property of the War Department.

As regards local taxations, the question has been already settled, and Police and Lighting Rates are not charged on the above premises.
