With reference to Your Lordship's telegram of the 11th ultimo, I have the honour to state that I have granted to Mr. James Dyer Ball, Chief Interpreter, Supreme Court, a pension at the rate of $2,448 per annum payable in England at 3/8d to the dollar with effect from 25th instant and that the Crown Agents have been instructed to make the necessary payments as they become due.
