the charge of the guard of the

train leaving

6-10pm, and

you

were

informed by

departure

and requested

to arrange

to meet

him

at his

destination.

2. Mr Lofthouse was dismissed from

the Hongkong

Government

service

in May 1907

for continuous absence from duty

on

account of

drunkenness.

In

November last he

was found by the

Police ill and

with

a

ticket

in

a

destitute

state.
