Rece The Postmaster General has perused the further papers enclosed with your letters of the 15th and 21st instant, Gov No.24506/1908 and 20388/1908 relative to the maintenance of the British Postal Agencies in China, and particularly of the Tientsin Agency. He concurs with the conclusion, expressed by the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury in their letter of 7th instant, that the maintenance of the Tientsin Agency for another year is desirable in order that sufficient experience may be gained to enable Their Lordships to consider satisfactorily the whole question both of Tientsin and the other British Agencies in China.
