Hong Kong Ordinance it is provided that a transfer of
a share registered in a local register shall, unless
executed within the Colony, be exempt from stamp duty.
4. The Board of Trade suggest that it would be better
to provide specifically, as is no doubt intended, that
the exemption shall be from stamp duty of the Colony
of Hong Kong.
5. I am to point out that there seem to be two clerical errors in sections 4(4) and 4(5) of the
Ordinance of 1907. The numbers of the sections of
the Ordinance of 1865 therein referred to should apparently be 32 and 31 respectively instead of 40 and
39.
