In a recent despatch you were requested that a draft convention (draft of the proposed Convention for the mutual protection of British and Japanese trademarks in China) might be sent to you for your view and for communicating to the British Commercial Agent at Peking with a view to ascertaining the opinion of the Chinese Government.
