I have the honour to inform you that the British S.S. "Suisang" belonging to the China Commercial Steamship Company Limited arrived at Salina Cruz on May 14th last with 518 immigrants. Of these, 404 have been declared to be suffering from trachoma, and this in spite of the fact that the Assistant Health Officer at Hong Kong, Dr. Grone, had rejected 333 out of those prospective passengers who had presented themselves for examination.
