It appears that there is a need to identify the girl Ethel Williams who had stated that she was then leaving for Hamburg to join her father. The Secretary of the Vigilance Society, however, succeeded in tracing a young English girl who corresponded with the description of Ethel Williams into the train and has communicated with the branches of that society in Copenhagen and Hamburg with a view to rendering her assistance and protection on her journey.

It appears that there is still another English girl in the house of the Chinaman in question and I shall endeavour to obtain further information on the subject.

I have, &c.,
