I am directed by Secretary Sir Edward Grey to
acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 6th
instant, 19683/1908, enclosing copies of an Ordinance
passed by the Legislature of Hongkong to amend the
Chinese Extradition Ordinance 1889.
I am to state that Sir Edward sees no reason
for withholding The King's sanction to this Ordi-
