SECTION 2.

(No. 21.)

Sir Edward Grey to Sir C. MacDonald.

Foreign Office, March 28, 1908. (Telegraphic.) P.

CONVENTION with Japan for protection of trade-marks in China and Corea. I request that you will definitely ascertain whether, under present Japanese law, marks intended for use in China and Corea, but not necessarily in Japan, can be registered in the latter country.

Would Japanese Consular Courts in China and Corea have power to deal with charges of piracy in such case?
