OPIUM. Your despatch No. 384 of the 14th August, 1907. What steps have Chinese Government taken with regard to reduction of importation of opium from Persia, Turkey, and other non-Indian countries?
His Majesty’s Government, as evidence of good will, are instructing Government of India not to await fulfilment of stipulation as to concurrent reduction of importation from other countries, but to enforce at once the reduction of export from India.
