in accordance with Scheme 8, i.e., between Macdormell Road

and Robinson Road, more or less in accordance with plan

Soheme 2 A., leaving of course the exact arrangement, #idth

and length of the platformą to be settled with the Governor's

full local knowledge of the requirements of the traffic, to

be dealt with.

If the imeliste expenditure of so large a sum of

money as is necessary for Seueme 2 cannot now be entertained

it might be advisable while resuming all the land required

for it to build an inexpensive temporary Station on the site

No. 2 large enough to meet the friediate requirements, and to

postpone the construction of the permanent Statim until the

growth of traffic renders it desirable; but we of course

recognise that we are not so well able to judge whether a

temporary Station would meet the requirements of the Colony
