The arrangement of the Station which we have
shown is similar to that proposed on the Chief Resident
splan No. 510P with the exception that we have

widened one of the platforms to 40 feet and that we have
dispensed with the additional siding on each side of the
outer platforus. We have, however, indicated in Schene
2 A. by dotted lines how provision might be made elsewhere.

with regard to Signal Hill, we telegraphed for
oroas sections of the Hill, sa it appeared to us that
valuable space could be gained whichever Schema vere adopted
if it were possible to set back the face of the Hill even
further than suown on Drawing No. 529P. We have just
received the sections oaked for, but it seems that the
advantage to be gained is not commensurate with the
formidable nature of the undertaking involving as it does
the excavation of a large quantity of rock about 100 feet
in height.
Having given all these points the most careful
