informed by Chief Detective Inspector Hanson of the Hong-

Excellency

kong Police that an Order had been issued by Your Exes

for the banishment of Your Petitioner, and that Your Peti-

tioner was required to leave this Colony on or before

Sunday the 29th. day of November, 1908.

That no reasons have been assigned to Your Petitioner for

such Order of banis`ment as aforesaid.

That Your Petitioner is not aware of the nature of the

charges preferred against him, and has not been given an

opportunity to deny such charges or any of them.

Your Petitioner is conscious that he has not wilfully com-

-mitted or done any act which might be construed as opposed

to pbulic safety.

Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that Your

Excellency may be pleased to revoke the said

Order of haishme t or in the alternative to sus-

pend the operation of such Order until such time

as Your petitioner shall have been given an op-

portunity to be heard in his defence by Counsel.

And Your Petitioner will ever pray, &c.
