chants in this Colony.

That Your Petitioner has for the last 22 years ordinarily resided in this Colony and during that time has occupied several positions of responsibility and trust in various

Chinese firms in this Colony.

That Your Petitioner is now and has been during the last three years Manager of the Kwong Yuen Tai Pirn Merchants

of No. 48 Bonham Strand West Victoria aforesaid.

That Your Petitioner has at all times respected and obeyed the h ws of this Colony has always endeavoured to live as a

peaceful citizen thereof.

That your Petitioner is a member of a Committee appointed by the Registrar of Hongkong for the purpose of superinten-

ding and improving the sanitary a nditions of the Bonham Strand District at Victoria Hongkong and is Treasurer of

the said Committee.
