I have the honour to inform you that His Majesty will not be advised to exercisehis powers of disallowance with respect to the Ordinance No.21 of 1908, of the Legislature of Hong Kong, entitled "An Ordi
nance to amend the Companies Ordinance 1865", a trans- cript of which accompanied your despatch No.331 of the 21st ultimo.
2. In paragraph 2 of my despatch No 105 of
1st of June last I suggested that alterations, similar to those effected by the present Ordinance in the
will Companies' Ordinance 1865, should be made in the Life
Insurance Companies Ordinance 1907.
