With reference to Your Lordship's
L. 34518/08 despatch No. 237 of the 15th. of last October, I have the
honour to request that advances of this nature may be con-
verted at the current rate of exchange for the month in
which they appear in the account of the Crown Agents for
the Colonies with this Government, and that the officers
to whom such advances are made may be required to repay
such amount in dollars by instalments, in order that there
may be no question of loss or gain on exchange in connection
with the loan.
