I have the honour to inform you that when
forwarding at your request the correspondence to the Secretary of State on the subject of the Supreme Court Registry it appear-
-ed to me to be necessary to explain the allusion made in para-
-graph 5 of Your Honour's letter to me of March 12th., regarding
the reference to the Chariber of Corrierce on the subject of the
extension of the Supreme Court Vacations. I accordingly transmit
-ted the correspondence which has appeared in print together
with the letter which appeared over your signature in the "China
Vail" of the 27th. of February and the reply thereto. I pointed
out that the letter in question contravened in my opinion
Regulation 44 of the Colonial Service.
