Petitionere came to Samoa on the understanding
that they would get $15.00 a month, and be back to
China in three years time. On the voyage they were
told that only $7.50 would be given. All the condi-
tions were not observed.

in the Court. Their wages are very little and not
eufficient for them to send home to support their
families. The Government only listen to the words
of the master, and petitioners are not allowed to
say anything. They pray Your Honour to give them
