SBCTION
Sir,
Board of Trade to Foreign Office.(Received February 23.)
Board of Trade, February 22, 1907.
I AM directed by the Board of Trade to advert to your letter of the 6th December, 1906, transmitting copy of a despatch from His Majesty's Ambassador at Washington, with inclosures, respecting the draft Regulations for the registration of trade-marks in China.
The Board note that the United States' Government are willing to withdraw their objection to Article 25 of the draft, on the understanding that Article 7 is amended in the manner suggested by the German Ambassador at Washington. This proposed amendment seems to the Board to be a reasonable one, and I am consequently to suggest, subject to Sir E. Grey's approval, that His Majesty's Minister at Peking might be instructed to agree to it.
&c.
(Signed)
azul,
H. LLEWELLYN SMITH.
